Retired Maj. Damon T. Armeni served with 3rd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, deploying three times during his seven years assigned to this unit. In 2004, he was severely injured when his Stryker combat vehicle was struck by a rocket-propelled grenade. He is sharing his story to help others understand the importance of teamwork and to encourage those who have sustained combat injuries, including PTSD, to trust their leaders and most importantly, seek help.
