Their common objective was to utilize advancements in medical Information technology and telecommunication networking to give international doctors and patients who were having difficulty traveling to the US alternative options to access healthcare services at Harvard teaching hospitals.
The team brought together available know-how and technology, along with the creativity of various academic researchers to design out of the box telemedicine solutions to help Harvard medical professionals reach out to new patients and deliver services to previously non accessible markets.
